Shows We Watch

As I've mentioned before on this blog, Supernatural is my favorite show on television right now. It has faltered a little after Season 5 when the show's creator, Eric Kripke, stepped down after the season ended. He had intended for it to end with season 5. Even still, Sam and Dean are excellent characters and I can't get enough of them. If you haven't seen it, you should. :-D They are demon-hunting brothers who have been through it all. Season 8 premieres on October 3, 2012.

Alphas is about to begin it's 2nd season at the end of this month. It's about a group of people with enhanced abilities due to differences in their brain structure. A group of them got together with the help of a doctor who knows how to manage their abilities. It's a pretty good show. I like it.

True Blood is a series based on the excellent Sookie Stackhouse southern vampire series by author Charlaine Harris. You should read the series and watch the show. The story centers around Sookie Stackhouse; a telepathic waitress who falls for a vampire named Bill Compton. It has mystery, complete supernatural elements, gore, and romance--of the adult variety. Check it out. Season 5 is currently on the air.

The Walking Dead became a phenomenon when it first aired on October 31, 2010. The show is based on the wildly popular comic book series by Robert Kirkman. The show follows a band of survivors in the aftermath of the zombie apocalypse. I love the show even though there are elements I don't agree with.

Well, what are you guys watching on television? Tell me. Any suggestions? I've heard about Game of Thrones, but I don't want to watch it until I've read the books. ;-)

The walking dead is the only show I'm looking forward to seeing again. That and football. Other than that Lana and I are watching Hell's kitchen and Masterchef.

I love Supernatural and Alphas!

Another one of my favorites is The Vampire Diaries for Damon and all his charm.

But probably my favorite show of almost all time is Doctor Who. <3

Thanks for stopping by my blog by the way, I do hope you check out the Matched series, it is really good :)

I love The Walking Dead! But I fell behind halfway into Season 2, heh. Gotta catch up... It's definitely not what I expected but in a good way. They do a good job of focusing more on the human aspect of the whole zombie situation (having to decide to shoot your wife b/c she turned into a zombie & may kill you or someone else? o_O). Had they gotten it wrong it'd be like Resident Evil, haha--which I only watch for the Milla Jovovich action, heh.

Hmm...gosh, I used to watch a lot of TV, but lately I've had to stick to a handful. I'm waiting for Covert Affairs to return on Tues. on USA. (Pretty much all the current shows I love are either on AMC or USA, a few on Syfy.) Covert Affairs follows the life of recent CIA recruit Annie Walker. It's a lot of fun, and there are always moments when I'm not sure if she'll make it out alive!

Also, I did watch Game of Thrones w/o reading the books first. (Generally I don't invest time in any series that's longer than three books, as a rule.) It was actually really good, tho, you know, it's HBO--which means lots of graphic violence, sex, etc...

Still, I love the way magic is slowwwwwly introduced over time. It's not the immediate Wow Factor as it is with a lot of other fantasy stories. Rather, it's the characters & their scheming and infighting.

Charles,
I like Hell's Kitchen. Master Chef wasn't for me.

Kate,
I love Doctor Who! :-D

Tiyana,
Most post-apocalyptic fiction deals with the aftermath of the destruction and the restructuring of mankind. Resident Evil shows us what happened before, during, and after the apocalypse. Lol. I love Resident along with the Walking Dead! :-D

And Covert Affairs is made of awesome. Annie is the best. ;-) I only mentioned the supernatural shows I watch.

Dejanae,
You really should though. ;-)

I'm sitting patiently waiting for Scandal to come back in September. Besides that I'm not really addicted to anything on right now.

I love Supernatural, Alphas, The Vampire Diaries, Warehouse 13, Falling skies, and Criminal Minds. I really like the supernatural/paranormal type shows but now shows like Ghost Hunters Because they are just too fake.

Eb,
I hope they replay what they've shown because I've missed most of the episodes. :-/

Mary,
I tried to watch Falling Skies but I couldn't get into it.
