Most of us have books that are near and dear to our hearts--books that we treasure and admire.
And there are some books that have yet to be read, but that pique our interests even though we haven't read a word.
I have always loved books since I was a very young child. My parents bought me books before I even knew how to read them.
I buy books quite often--so much so, that I've accumulated an awesome to-be-read pile, like many book lovers do.
I'll only list a few of the books on my pile because it would take forever to list them all.
Note: These are not books that I plan to purchase, these are books that I have already bought, and are waiting to be read at my house. :-D Here are a few:

I have many more, in various genres. I have non-fiction, commercial fiction, literary fiction, a few classics, etc. I named mostly genre fiction (horror/sci-fi/fantasy) because it's my favorite. :-D

This is the first year that I will be participating in NanoWrimo--and I'm excited. I didn't think I would be, but it will help keep my butt in the chair and ensure that I write daily and consistently.
