Legion

OMG, folks. When I saw this preview for the movie LEGION, I actually had hope for horror movies again. It. Is. Awesome! It's five minutes long, but I promise you that you won't be able to concentrate on anything else as you watch this preview. LEGION doesn't come out until January, but I am patient. I cannot wait to see it.

A friend of mine said not to get my hopes up, but I say hogwash. It's going to be awesome. I guess I'm so stoked about it because my urban fantasy series involves angels as well, but not in the same light as this movie does. Watch the preview, horror fiends, and let me know what you think in the comments. :-D

Holy Crap dude!!! That old lady rocks. (I know that she was a bad guy but that was awesome)

I think that it looks pretty sweet. I can't think of another epic horror movie that I've seen in a long time. :D

I love that the angels are in black. I hadn't even heard of the movie yet, and now I'm kind of giddy about it!

Thanks for sharing.

What a nasty old lady. I think that might have been my mom. Glad she's making some extra money with an acting gig.

That looks absolutely fantastic. I'm going to see it with my sons. I can't wait.

(Pretty awesome cast, too. Dennis Quaid, Paul Bettany. If they liked the script, it must have been pretty damn good._

I think they ripped off a couple of ideas from me, lol!
It DOES look very interesting. See a bit of other flicks in there...Jacob's Ladder, a little Raiders of the Lost Ark, etc.
But yeah, definitely grabs my interest. Think I'll be standing in line come January. :)

I never watch horror movies because I am not into irrational set ups to toss around buckets of blood. Unless you call the Underworld movies horror, when I call them dark fantasy!

I was pretty upset when I first saw this since it looks like it scoops the book I'm currently working on. Very irritating.

Kara,
Yes, it does rock! :-D

Robin,
Is that your mom? May I have her autograph? LOL. :-D

Raine,
Yes, I'll be in line as well.

Written,
I love horror movies. Most fiction suspends belief as far as I'm concerned. The Secret Life of Bees stretched it for me because those three Black women that took in the little White girl would have been jailed or killed during that time period, so that was a stretch for me to believe that. :-/

Charles,
Write it anyway. The next novel I'm researching for involves angels. Don't let that stop you.;-)

"call us Legion, for we are many"

yo, I remember the George C. Scott flick.

That was some scary doo-doo back then.

I cannot WAIT to see this movie. I am on pins and needles!!!

Good luck with your hopes, because horror movies have SUCKED for YEARS now. "If I see another SAW..."

Demon Hunter,

I'm not even a big horror fan, but I love the ones that do takes on religion and angels... this one looks like it's taken from a few different sources. Like the baby bit seems like a take off from The Seventh Sign (was that the name of the one with Demi Moore?)

Looks really good. Thanks for the heads up.

Tyhitia Green said...

Chris,
Of course not. You won't be afraid. ;-)

Heff,
That's just the thing. SAW is not horror, IMHO. And movies like that give "real horror" a bad name. Everything touted as horror IS NOT horror. Stupid films with tons of gore are killing the horror genre.

Merry,
I like movies themed like this as well. My WIP has a similar. I hope you'll like that too. ;-)

The special effects look pretty good, but I bet the story line sucks. I guess I got too much bible knowledge because the angel thing and the baby thing don't make any sense.

Tyhitia Green said...

Tekoa,
No, it doesn't make much sense from that aspect, but I think the movie will be good anyway. Sometimes you have to suspend belief. :-D
