What's Going On in the Writing World!

Phew, after a month away, I almost went into shock! I cannot stay away from Blogger. LOL.

Some wonderful things have been happening for writers lately. My friend L. A. Banks (pictured left) participated in an interview for the upcoming HBO shows: TRUE BLOODLINES: VAMPIRE LEGENDS and TRUE BLOODLINES: A NEW TYPE, which will air on September 6, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The two shows precede Charlain Harris' new series, TRUE BLOOD. If you don't know Ms. Banks' or Ms. Harris' works, you should check them out. They're awesome. :-)
Also, Stephenie Meyer's book, Twilight, has been transformed into a movie, and will be released
on November 21, 2008 in theaters.

This is all some awesome news. Please give these ladies a hand. Congratulations, ladies!! ;-)

I'm going to check it out.

I LOVE L.A. Banks--I read the latest Vampire Huntress Legend book in July and I think the second installment in her new werewolf series comes out this month.

Good to see you back in the fray of things. There's just something about blogging, isn't it?

Congrats to both authors you mentioned.

Wow, that was quite a vacation you took there. Glad you're back.

Welcome back!!!
I'm also trying to balance everything. Sometimes it's hard to do, but a break every once in a while is nice.

Laughing Wolf,
That's not me, it's L.A. Banks. I don't have any pics on the web---yet. I cannot wait to see that show. :-)

TravelDiva,
I love L.A. Banks too. She's so cool. :-) Congrats on your engagement. ;-)

Don,
Yeah, there's something about blogging alright. There were 3 ladies. Don't forget about Charlain Harris. :-)

Heff,
Glad to be back. :-)

Carleen,
Thanks. I only learned to write screenplays just in case my novels sold screenplay rights. I wanted to be the one who wrote them. :-)

Chris,
It was definitely great to have a break! :-)

Raine,
I love vampire stuff too! That picture is not me, it's of the lovely and talented L.A. Banks. I don't have any pics of me on the Internet. I have pics, but probably won't share them on the net until I sell a book or screenplay. Then, I'll have no choice. :-)

Yes, exactly! PLus, I missed you guys! :-D

Lana,
Glad to hear you guys are okay. I'll be checking by your blog soon. :-)

Dejanae,
If I post too often, that will detract from my writing. :-)

Travel,
You're welcome, girl. :-)

T.,
L.A. Banks is a very cool, very humble person. Have you clicked on her blog? It's great. :-)
